Dinner and Apologetics

  • If God is all loving and all powerful, why is there so much evil and suffering in the world?
  • What does the Bible say about the existence of evil?
  • How can living in a fallen world, filled with the reality of evil and suffering, help me draw nearer to God?
  • How can I walk by faith when I am experiencing suffering in my life?

Even before Jesus walked the earth as a man, philosophers were questioning whether the existence of evil in the world was proof that there is no God. This fall we will look at skeptical arguments, truth from the Bible, and our own experiences as we consider God’s purposes for the evil and suffering we regularly observe and encounter. We’ll enjoy a meal together and then spend some time addressing these poignant and important questions. At our last meeting, each participant will have a chance to offer his/her own presentation on the problem of evil and suffering.

These are the dates we’ll meet in Carmel, Indiana:

  • October 4
  • October 11
  • October 18
  • October 25
  • November 1

If you would like to participate, please RSVP to questions@tidewind.org. Let us know you’re coming and be sure to tell us if you have any food allergies or sensitivities that we should be aware of. We’ll send you the address and any additional information at that time. Hope to see you this fall!
