We are often told that forgiveness is something God uses to free us from the hurts of our past, that when we let go of offenses we can have a fresh start for our own well being. What does the Bible say about forgiveness? Why and how do we forgive? Does the person who wronged us need to be a part of the process? Scripture says a lot about this topic, some which may be familiar and some which may surprise us.
