The topic of sin can be uncomfortable for us to talk about. If I have trusted Christ and am already forgiven, are there still consequences for my sin? Where did sin come from in the first place? How does sin affect my everyday life as a Christian? During our six week study, we’ll enjoy a meal together each week and discuss these questions and more.
In Luke 7, Jesus told a parable of two debtors, one who owed a small amount and one who owed a much larger amount. Both of them were forgiven their debts by their moneylender. Jesus asked, “Which one will love him more?” The answer: The one who was forgiven more. As we explore the reality of our sin and the great debt we had before us, we will see that understanding how much we have been forgiven will help us appreciate the beauty of the gospel … and help us love our Savior even more!
